Mahdiye Care Family Membership
Membership terms
Who can apply
Applicants must be at least 18, be Muslim, follow Fiqh-e-Ja’fari or Ahl al-Sunnah, complete the application, agree to applicable policies and guidelines, and maintain membership in good standing.
Family membership
Membership includes the primary member, spouse and unmarried dependent children. Guardian and Legacy may include eligible additional family members according to program guidelines. Dependent coverage continues until Islamic marriage (Aghd/Nikah), subject to those guidelines.
Contributions & benefits
- Membership contributions are non-refundable.
- Donations, Khums, Zakat, Sadaqah and other charitable contributions are separate from membership fees and do not replace required membership contributions.
- Benefits are available while membership is active and in good standing.
- Mahdiye California may revise guidelines, benefit limits, procedures and eligibility requirements to maintain program sustainability.
- Funeral and burial assistance is a membership and community-care benefit, not an insurance product.
- All services are subject to the applicable Mahdiye Care Membership Guidelines.
Community participation
After 12 months of continuous membership, eligible members may participate in applicable voting matters. After 24 months, eligible members may be considered for Board or appointed committee service, subject to all additional qualifications and organizational requirements.
